Biography: 

Dr. Fran莽ois de Champlain completed his speciality in Emergency Medicine in 2003 at 平特五不中 in Quebec, Canada. Since then, he has been working as an Emergency Physician and Trauma Team Leader at the 平特五不中 Health Centre (MUHC). He completed a clinical research training with Harvard Medical School and is currently completing a Master in Health Leadership (IMHL) at 平特五不中.听His main areas of expertise are EMS, Mass Gathering events, Disaster Preparedness, Trauma and Resuscitation. He has been involved with 鲍谤驳别苍肠别蝉-蝉补苍迟茅 (Montreal EMS) as Assistant Medical Director and now serves on the Coll猫ge des M茅decins听EMS provincial advisory committee.听Over the years, he has been the Medical Director for numerous endurance sporting events including the Montreal ITU Triathlon, the Mont-Tremblant IRONMAN and the Montreal Marathon. He is the Founding President听of the Jacques de Champlain Foundation, promoting and facilitating public access to defibrillators (AEDs) as well as the creation of a provincial registry for their location. Since 2016, he has been a member of the MUHC ECMO committee and participated to the implementation of an in-hospital ECPR program.

Strategies to increase cardiac arrest survival such as increase public use of AEDs.听听
