Student Activity: Chinese Movie Night!
Co-organized by the Chinese program (East Asian Studies) and the AMLF, we are going to hold a Chinese movie night at the AMLF this Thursday on March 24th @5:00pm. All are welcome!
Movie Title: 青春祭 (English: Sacrificed Youth, 1986)
Length: 1 h 30 minutes
Storyline: “A young girl from the city is sent out to work in a village of Dai people in China's cultural revolution. Here she learns to enjoy being young and gains a new outlook on life.” (see ).
The movie will be streamed in the original language (Chinese) with English subtitles. After the movie, there will be a half-hour discussion session facilitated by Prof. Bill Wang to talk about, discuss and reflect on the movie. The session will be mainly in Chinese, but speakers of all languages are welcome to share and participate. Please register here (spots are limited):
