Going on exchange

Desautels MBA studentsÌýhave a unique opportunity to study abroad atÌýsome of the world's leading business schools. Here is where it all begins.

→ Where can I go?

We have partner schools around the world in Africa, Asia/Pacific, Europe, Latin America, Middle East and North America. Our complete list of partner schools can be found here.

→ When can I go?

You can go on exchange in yourÌýsecond year, in the Fall or Winter term.

→ Do I have to apply to go on exchange? How does the application process work?

Yes, you do need to apply to go on exchange. The application process takes place in February and March of your first year. Selection is based on academic performance in the MBA program to date, as well as how the exchange school you've chosen fits with your academic and career goals. Once you receive your exchange offer, you will be asked to accept the offer and payÌýa non-refundable deposit of $500, which will offset your tuition for the term you are on exchange.

→ How many courses am I allowed to take on exchange?

You must take what the host school considers to be a full-time course load. Each school has a minimum and maximum course load for exchange students. Our exchange program coordinator will be able to discuss your situation with you to help you plan out the completion of your degree. Students normally take the equivalent of 12 ƽÌØÎå²»ÖÐ credits on exchange.

→ Can I fulfill my concentration requirements on exchange?

You may take one course toward your concentration on exchange, but it cannot beÌýeither of theÌýtwo required courses.

→ If I go on exchange, will I graduate with the rest of my class?

Students going on exchange in the Fall term will typically graduate in May/June; if you go on exchange in the Winter term you will most likely graduate in October/November.

→ What do I have to pay for when I go on exchange?

You will continue paying tuition to ƽÌØÎå²»ÖÐ for your exchange term as usual. However, you may be required to pay certain student services fees to your host school, as well as pay for books and materials. You are also responsible for your travel to and from the host school country as well as living expenses.
