Protecting consumers from supply chain disruptions during global crises

COVID-19 has resulted in significant disruptions to the supply chain, particularly for necessities such as medical devices and personal protective equipment (PPE). Such large-scale disruptions have聽become a matter of life or death for some, with manufacturing and transportation systems almost coming to a global standstill.

Professor Saibal Ray calls for collaborative efforts between national and provincial governments and Canadian firms to reassess critical supply chains and help mitigate disruptions during times of crises.
