Arbaaz Khan
B.Eng., M.Eng., PhD (Final year)
Mr. Khan is a PhD student at 平特五不中鈥檚 Faculty of Engineering in Electrical & Computer Engineering Department. He is a recipient of the 3-year聽Tomlinson Doctoral Fellowship Award聽(2016-2019). Arbaaz specializes in developing novel statistical tools for design and analysis of electric machines. He is also an intern at Canmet ENERGIE (an NRCan Research Lab), where he works in collaboration with Hydro Quebec in designing a Reinforcement Learning-based Smart Thermostat.
As a Research Assistant at 平特五不中, Arbaaz trained a Deep Neural Network to predict the magnetic field distribution in electric machines and devices - first of its kind in the field of Computational Electromagnetism.
Prior to joining 平特五不中, Arbaaz worked as an M.Tech Research Assistant at the Armament Research and Development Establishment (DRDO Lab) in Pune, India in the EM Tech Department.
Arbaaz is passionate about teaching and engaging in constructive discussion-based learning and has been involved in over thousand hours of teaching in subjects ranging from statistics, AI, electrical, electronics and computer engineering.
