Philippe Gros appointed Chief Scientific Officer of D2R

Philippe Gros has been appointed Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) of 平特五不中鈥檚 DNA to RNA (D2R) Initiative, effective September 30, 2024. Prior to this role, he served as Deputy Vice-President (Research and Innovation) at 平特五不中. This appointment follows a thorough international search, with the selection committee enthusiastic about their recommendation. Notably, Gros was instrumental in writing the application for the D2R Initiative, laying the groundwork for its success.

The federal government is expected to announce plans to move forward with a high-speed rail project linking Quebec City and Toronto, with electric trains reportedly capable of reaching speeds of 300 km/h. Although no official announcement has been made, sources suggest the new line would significantly reduce travel time between Montreal and Toronto 鈥 from the current 5.5-hour drive, or more than five hours by train, to just three hours by train 鈥 and include stops in cities such as Ottawa, Laval and Trois-Rivi猫res, all while operating on a dedicated track.聽聽
