Thomas Davis, BCL’80, LLB’80, appointed Puisne Judge of the Superior Court of Quebec

The Honourable Thomas M. Davis (BA'76, BCL'80, LLB'80), a lawyer with Borden Ladner Gervais in Montreal, has been appointed Puisne Judge of the Superior Court of Quebec in the District of Montréal.

Admitted to the Bar in 1981, Davis's main areas of practice were labour and employment law, workers' compensation, health, administrative and education law. He has published several papers, and is co-author of numerous articles.

Mr. Justice Davis was a member of the Nominating Committee of the English speaking section of the Bar of Montréal from 2001 to 2003 and the Committee on Administrative Justice from 1992 to 1995. He has been a member of the Canadian Bar Association since 1983. He is a member of the Québec Order of Industrial Relations Counsellors, and sits on the boards of directors of various community organizations.

Mr. Justice Davis has been a lecturer in employment law at the Faculty of Law of ƽÌØÎå²»ÖÐ since 2001.
