Strike update: waiting for negotiations to resume
A message from Michael Di Grappa, Vice-Principal (Administration and Finance)
There is really very little new to report to you beyond the fact that the injunction governing what picketers may or may not do has been extended for a further 10 days, until October 13, which is, coincidentally, the day the two sides will get back to the table. Conciliation sessions are set for the afternoon of the 13th and all day on the 14th. I hope we will be able to make progress.
We are still awaiting a Labour Relations Board ruling on the union鈥檚 complaint about replacement workers.
In the event that there are no further developments, I will likely not send out an update next Thursday, but may update you on the progress of negotiations on the following Monday.
As always, thank you for your patience and your hard work while we move through this difficult period.
