Professor Morty Yalovsky returns to academic life
Dear Colleagues:
It is with regret that the University accepts the decision of Professor Morty Yalovsky to step down from his role as Vice-Principal (Administration & Finance), effective January 1, 2007, and to return to his first love of teaching and applied research, after he has had a long overdue and well-deserved academic leave. In 2008, Professor Yalovsky will be returning to his academic position in the Desautels Faculty of Management.
Professor Yalovsky has served the University as Vice-Principal (Administration & Finance) since October 1999 with distinction. Among his significant contributions are major developments in facilities and capital projects, financing and human resources operations.
As Vice-Principal of a large and high-impact portfolio, Morty has touched virtually every aspect of the University. His considerable contributions have included several firsts, among them the purchase of the "New Res," the development of 平特五不中's first bond issue and the advancement of human resources practices, including the implementation of a welcome performance dialogue process. He is broadly recognized for his devotion to his University, his hard work and his strong collegial manner, sustained over 33 years of service with 平特五不中 to date. Prior to his tenure as Vice-Principal (Administration & Finance), Morty served the University as Dean of Continuing Education for six years, and as an Associate Dean 鈥� Academic for nine years in the Faculty of Management. He is a valued and appreciated member of our University.
Early in the new year, we will hold an event to recognize Morty's contributions as Vice-Principal and welcome him back into the academic ranks.
