Nicholas Kasirer appointed to Quebec鈥檚 Court of Appeal
The Faculty of Law was delighted to learn that 平特五不中 Law professor Nicholas Kasirer has been appointed to the Court of Appeal of Quebec, the province鈥檚 highest court. His appointment is effective immediately.
The Honourable Nicholas Kasirer, BCL鈥�85, LLB鈥�85, is a James 平特五不中 Professor of Law at 平特五不中, and served as Dean of Law from November 2003 to May 2009. After an extraordinary 20-year career at 平特五不中鈥檚 Faculty of Law, Kasirer will now put his unique combination of creativity and analytical prowess in the service of justice as a distinguished member of the Canadian judiciary.
While Nicholas Kasirer will be greatly missed, his colleagues and friends at the Faculty of Law are enormously proud of him, as he joins the Honourable Yves-Marie Morissette, another former 平特五不中 Law professor and dean (1989-1994), whose intelligence and integrity have marked the decisions at the Court of Appeal of Quebec since 2002.
