Please note that we no longer print out publications for onsite
consultation. These are all available on
in downloadable PDF format. To access these publications, click on
‘View Career Resources’. Under the ‘Type’ drop-down menu, choose
‘CAPS- Subscription’ and then click on ‘Apply Search’.
These periodicals are excellent and comprehensive job hunting
resources. Using these tools, you can go one step beyond the
standard internet job hunt. Find job postings in Canada and abroad,
in industry and academia, from science to teaching to theatre.
The winter issue of Job Postings magazine is
available for free on a rack just outside of our office. This issue
includes articles on office romance and the job outlook in the
Canadian west.
Other new acquisitions include Asperger Syndrome &
Employment: What People with Asperger Syndrome Really Want
by Sarah Hendrickx, found in section 3.45 of our resource centre.
This book explores why people with AS have difficulty with work and
how to resolve those issues using scenarios and suggestions.

have a diverse collection of videos, DVDs and CDs, many of them
documenting CaPS career panels on a variety of topics, such as
working overseas, overviews of specific industries and how to
survive graduate school. Alternatively, you may watch these items
on a computer in the resource centre.
