Mezzo-Soprano Rihab Chaieb wins 1st Prize at the 2016 Gerda Lissner International Vocal Competition

Rihab Chaieb has been awarded a First Prize at the 2016 Gerda Lissner International Vocal Competition in New York. 聽聽She聽graduated with聽BMus in Voice from the 聽Schulich School of Music before becoming a member of the Canadian Opera Company's聽聽Ensemble program. Currently finishing her first year at the Metropolitan Opera's Lindemann program, Chaieb聽studied voice at Schulich with Professors Winston Purdy and Sanford Sylvan. While an undergraduate聽student at the Schulich School of Music, Chaieb sang in several聽Opera 平特五不中 productions聽including Carmen in "Le tragedie de Carmen", Baba the Turk in "The Rake's Progress" and the title role in Dido and Aeneas.聽
