McIntyre renovation update
Laboratories on floors 8, 9 and 10 are nearing completion. The 9th floor is ready for inspection and labs on floors 8 and 10 are having adjustments听made after inspection.
The animal ventilation system is finished and all HVAC systems have been replaced.
Freezer farm areas are nearly completed. Cooling will begin in April.
Washroom renovations on floors 1,3,5,7,8,9,10 and 13 will be completed by the end of March. Washrooms on floors 2,4,6,11, and 12 will be finished by April 29.
A major electrical shutdown is planned for mid-March in order to switch to a new electrical system. Essential equipment will be powered by generator during this time and we will try to minimize the impact on classes and research as much as possible. Details will be available closer to the shutdown from the building director's office and at听/construction/mcintyre/
