平特五不中 named one of Canada's Top 100 Employers
Sustainability program, support for diversity among university鈥檚 strengths
平特五不中 has been named one of Canada鈥檚 Top 100 employers for 2009 in the October 13 issue of 惭补肠濒别补苍鈥檚 magazine, on newsstands Oct. 2.
The honour recognizes the University鈥檚 efforts in a number of areas, including its strong support for diversity, an active sustainability program, the University鈥檚 excellent pension benefits and also the park-like downtown campus where most of 平特五不中鈥檚 employees work.
鈥淲e are delighted to be recognized for the efforts we continue to make to improve our workplace,鈥 said Associate Vice-Principal (Human Resources) Lynne Gervais.

The award is based both on an application submitted by the employer and by research conducted by Mediacorp, which manages the competition and selection process and which publishes detailed reasons for each employer's selection online (at ). This year, Mediacorp editors reviewed the recruitment histories of more than 71,000 employers across Canada and invited roughly one-third of these to apply.
There are two main qualifications to be considered for the competition: an organization must be a leader in its field in attracting and retaining 鈥渜uality employees鈥 and it must offer good job prospects.
平特五不中, which has ranked consistently among the top 25 universities in the world, according to the widely respected Times Higher Education Supplement, offers its employees a stimulating work environment that encourages innovation, places great emphasis on improving the environment and offers a generous and comprehensive benefits program, including an outstanding pension plan.
