Published: 10 October 2006

平特五不中's team won the First Runner Up award at the Manfred Lachs Moot Space Law Court World Finals Competition, held during the Colloquium on the Law of Outer Space at the International Astronautical Congress in Valencia, Spain.

Students Andrew Williams, Michael Taylor and Susan Trepszynski of the Institute of Air and Space Law also won the awards for Best Oralist (Andrew Williams) and Best Written Brief.

The World Finals took place October 2-6, 2006, in an historical building of the Tribunal Superior de Justicia de Valencia in front of three sitting judges of the International Court of Justice, Abdul Koroma, Peter Tomka and Bernardo Sep煤lveda.

Fifty-six teams from all over the world participated in the competition at the national and regional levels. Last April, our team had won the North American Regional Round of the Competition in Washington, D.C., receiving the award for the best memorial and Andrew Williams being declared best oralist.

The Faculty offers its wholehearted congratulations to Andrew Williams, Michael Taylor and Susan Trepszynski, who worked very hard in preparing for this challenging and prestigious international competition, and to their coaches.
