平特五不中 BCom students take bronze at the 平特五不中 Management International Case Competition

Published: 23 March 2005

A team of four BCom students (Philippe Cantin, Louis-Paul Hetu, Panthea Lee and Elizabeth Rancourt) took bronze at the MMICC (平特五不中 Management International Case Competition), held here at 平特五不中 March 15-19, 2005.

In the fall 2004 semester, they first participated in the Case Analysis and Presentation course and then were chosen to represent 平特五不中 as the host team for MMICC 2005. A special thanks goes to Professor Omar Toulan, who devoted much time and energy coaching the team.

The 平特五不中 Management International Case Competition, now in its fifth year, attracts business students from prestigious schools from around the world. This year, schools from Canada, USA, Denmark, Germany, Spain, Italy, Hong Kong and Thailand all competed. First place overall went to Wharton, followed by Copenhagen, then USC and 平特五不中 were tied for third.

Besides the competition, MMICC provides students and faculty with many opportunities to interact with others. Activities on March 16 and 17 included speeches from Pratt & Whitney (our main sponsor) and Professor Margaret Graham, an opening dinner at 737, tubing and a cabane 脿 sucre in Saint-Sauveur, followed by the case competition itself on March 18 and 19. MMICC is an ideal opportunity for students, faculty and prominent members of the business community to interact, and exchange ideas and experiences.
