A 19-year-old sophomore in International Development Studies, Lafourcade registered 3,483 points to break the 平特五不中 record of 3,320. He won the 60-metre hurdles (8.73 seconds), was second in the 1000m (2:55.09), won the high jump (1.86m), was second in the long jump (6.57m) and finished second in the shot put (11.43m).

He was the only member of the 平特五不中 track team to compete at the event. The intercollegiate indoor season officially gets underway on Nov. 27 with the Red, Garnet & Gold meet in Ottawa, followed by the first 平特五不中 Open meet of the season on Dec. 5.
