GPS Recruitment & Retention team wins the NAGS/ ETS Award

The Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies’ (GPS) Recruitment and Retention team has won the 2009-2010 Northeastern Association of Graduate Schools (NAGS)/ Educational Testing Service (ETS) Award for Innovation in Graduate Student Recruitment and Retention.

This prestigious award is given to a member institution in recognition of outstanding contributions in graduate admissions practices, from outreach and recruitment through selection and admissions. The purpose of the award is to reward excellence and innovation in domestic and international graduate admissions at both the graduate school and program level.

The R&R team was recognized for their expertise in all areas of the award’s criteria: excellence, innovation and significance. The team successfully created and applied innovative techniques in complementing the efforts of departments and Faculties towards increasing graduate enrolment, student retention and improving the student experience. The R&R team has also made significant advances at the central level, increasing the effectiveness of recruitment efforts across the University.
