Published: 26 October 2009

MONTREAL - Guillaume Doucet of Anjou, Que., and Nicole Bewski of Winnipeg are the 平特五不中 University athletes of the week for the period ending Oct. 25, 2009.

Doucet, a 5-foot-9, 180-pound centre with the hockey Redmen, scored four times and added one assist in two weekend games against a pair of NCAA Ivy League teams. The 23-year-old physical education junior struck twice in a 3-3 tie at Harvard last Friday, then potted two more markers and set up another in a 7-4 victory at Dartmouth, Saturday. It was 平特五不中's first win over Dartmouth in a decade.听 Doucet leads the Redmen in scoring with 10 goals and 15 points in nine games overall. He joined the Redmen in 2007, from the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, where he skated for PEI and Rouyn-Noranda.

Bewski, a 5-foot-4 coxswain with the rowing team, guided the men's lightweight eight to gold at the OUA championships in St. Catharines, Ont., Saturday. She also coxied the men's lightweight four to a bronze medal. It is common for females to coxie a men's boat as men are typically heavier and add drag. Bewski is a 17-year-old science freshman, majoring in kinesiology. She attended Vincent Massey Collegiate prior to enrolling at 平特五不中.
