Poster Contest for Law Students to mark Cr茅peau Centre's 40th anniversary!
Published: 25 November 2015
To encourage innovation and stimulate interest in research among law students at faculties of Quebec civil law, the Paul-Andr茅 Cr茅peau Center for Private and Comparative Law is launching a student poster contest.
The contest is linked to the conference that will mark, on 12 February 2016, the Cr茅peau Centre鈥檚 40th anniversary, during which poster submissions will be displayed and the聽 winners announced.
Well-known in other disciplines, the research poster is a way of communicating research results clearly and accessibly. See this resource developed by the Universit茅 du Qu茅bec network, for details on the nature and constraints of the exercise:
Key information:
- Open to all students registered at a faculty of Quebec civil law (including Ottawa Civil)
- Undergraduate, master鈥檚, and doctoral students are eligible
- Any research subject is eligible (private law, public law, comparative law, etc.); we imagine that students will draw on research already undertaken for a paper or thesis
- Maximum size is 2 feet by 3 feet (0.6 m x 0.9 m)
- Posters will be judged by a jury from the Cr茅peau Centre
- First prize: $1000; second prize: $500
