Catherine Doldirina elected as the new Co-Chair of Space Generation
The Faculty of Law was happy to learn that DCL candidate Catherine Doldirina was recently elected to co-chair the Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC) for a two-year term.
Catherine Doldirina, who recently submitted her thesis at 平特五不中鈥檚 Institute of Air and Space Law, is an expert in the field of intellectual property law and her current research relates to the legal status of remote sensing data. She is engaged in the research activities at the Institute of Air and Space Law, such as the Space Security Index, and is a member of the International Institute of Space Law.
In 2008, she was the first 平特五不中 Law doctoral student to receive a Boeing Fellowship in Air and Space Law. In 2009, she was awarded the Diderick-Verschoor award and prize for the best paper by a young author for the Colloquium on Space Law of the International Institute of Space Law.
About the SGAC
The Space Generation Advisory Council is a global non-governmental organisation which aims to represent students and young space professionals to the United Nations, States, and space agencies. Doldirina has been involved with SGAC for several years as the SGAC鈥檚 National Point of Contact for Georgia and the Project Coordinator for the Space Generation Congress.
