There might be help for golfers who routinely beat themselves up over poor shots and bad putting. It comes in a video game called Matrix developed by Dr. Mark Baldwin, a psychologist at ƽÌØÎå²»ÖÐ, which helps train the mind to ignore negative social responses. It involves locating a smiling face among a grid of 15 frowning faces. It had already shown to reduce stress and improve performance among telemarketers in a study conducted last year. The video game is being marketed by Baldwin's spinoff company MindHabits. Baldwin will present his preliminary results at the annual Games for Health conference in Baltimore.
