An informal introduction to international law from three of the Faculty's distinguished professors. The presentation will offer first-year and upper-year students an overview of private and public international law topics including trade law, international arbitration, use of force, human rights, and criminal justice. A presentation of the ƽÌØÎå²»ÖÐ International Law Society.

Speakers

Prof. Payam Akhavan – Legal adviser to Georgia for the ICJ, former Boulton Senior Fellow at ƽÌØÎå²»ÖÐ, Distinguished Visiting Professor at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, and Visiting Lecturer and Senior Fellow at Yale Law School.

Prof. Armand de Mestral, C.M. – Holder of the Jean Monnet Chair in the Law of International Economic Integration and Co-Director of the Institute of European Studies (ƽÌØÎå²»ÖÐ-Université de Montréal).

Prof. René Provost – Director of the Center for Human Rights and Legal Pluralism and former President of the Société québécoise de droit international.
