Zixuan Li received the 平特五不中 MedStar Award for her publication entitled 鈥�The Organophosphate Esters Used as Flame Retardants and Plasticizers Affect H295R Adrenal Cell Phenotypes and Functions鈥�, in recognition of the excellent research carried out in the Faculty of Medicine at 平特五不中. The findings from this paper demonstrate that organophosphate esters have chemical-specific effects on cortisol and aldosterone production and thus the adrenal may be an important target for these endocrine-disrupting chemicals.
The winning papers with first authorship by graduate student, postdoctoral and resident trainees were selected to demonstrate excellence at all levels and to represent all disciplines of the training programs in the Faculty of Medicine.
