Shannon Hutcheson

Shannon Hutcheson is a current doctoral student in the Department of Integrated Studies聽in Education at 平特五不中 and works as a Research Assistant for Arts Against聽Postracialism. Prior to her studies at 平特五不中, she was a聽university educator in Lyon,聽France, and worked with first generation university students聽and marginalized youth in聽Minneapolis, Minnesota.

At 平特五不中, she is currently involved in initiatives to improve the聽experiences of international students in higher education.聽Shannon also conducts research聽with another SSHRC-funded grant, Define the Line, which addresses rape culture in聽university contexts. Shannon cares deeply about addressing social issues, inequality, and聽accessibility in education, as reflected in her professional and academic career. Shannon聽is excited to be contributing to this meaningful initiative聽through her project coordinator聽work for Arts Against Postracialism and looks forward聽to the awareness this project聽will create.聽
